Our Views on Environmentalism and Sustainability

It has always been our priority to conserve energy at all points in the installation process.  From using good timbers available on-site to buying domestic and environmentally sound products, we are always conscious of what materials we choose to put on your site.  We always look to interfere with the natural environment in a way that is as non-destructive as possible and ensure that the final result is a structure that fits into the surroundings.

A word about sustainability:

The word sustainable means:  A system condition in which biodiversity, renewability, and resource productivity are maintained over time.

Sustainability is a concept and not something to acquire or attain.  True sustainability is an ideal which would involve returning every calorie or BTU of energy that is consumed in a system or on behalf of an organization back to the environment.  We are focused on taking steps during the growth of our organization to better our business practices to support the idea of sustainability.  

  • Designs, construction techniques, and operational systems that reduce the amount of equipment and materials necessary.
  • Support to the local area in which the program is being installed: i.e.-- preference of using local labor and local professional services over warehouse manufacturing and long-distance deliveries.  We do not depend upon local markets for labor, but we do give the local area a chance to be a part of the installations.  Because of this, we often have a greater positive effect on the community and better long-term relationships with our clients.
  • Use of FSC Certified lumber products
  • Use of natural resources from the site (logs, timbers, etc.)
  • Sourcing of materials from as close to the site as possible
  • Bio-deisel fossil-fuel free transportation system
  • We donate 1% of all profits to charitable organizations
