Zip-Line Information

Camp Mendocino located in Fort Bragg, California, replaced their old courses and began operating their high ropes course and zip line in July 2009. The summer camp and year round retreat center operated by the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco is remotely situated in a redwood forest with a small river running past. Participants begin their experience by climbing a tall log ladder into the trees.  Depending on choice of route, the course winds through seven obstacle set up in a series of loops. At the end of their experience, participants can choose to exit from the log ladder or zip line. The zip line sends participants through the forest and then over and back across the river before coming to a gentle stop.

The course will be available to outside customers by reservation only beginning in the fall of 2009.  Plans are being made to offer the adventure in conjunction with the Skunk Train which stops at Camp Mendocino.
