Challenge Course Programming Director, S.T.E.P.S., Inc.

Phil came to S.T.E.P.S., Inc. in 1998 after participating in a ropes course program at a S.T.E.P.S. managed challenge course.  Enamored by the process of helping others to learn more about themselves, their environment, and how the two interact, Phil quickly developed as a facilitator. 

In addition to his work with S.T.E.P.S., Inc., Phil has worked at numerous camping and adventure challenge programs including Silverman Village, White Pine Village, Motor City Challenge, W.C.R.E.S.A., and Tamarack Camps.  He currently works for S.T.E.P.S. arranging adventure challenge programs with school and local corporations and managing staff.  Phil's talent for helping individuals and groups to explore difficult subjects and create change make him a natural facilitator.

When not in the field facilitating programs, Phil leads adventure challenge facilitator workshops and canopy tour guide training.  He has been instrumental in helping to facilitate programs for thousands of students and adults in Southeastern Michigan and has led canopy tour training across the United States.
